Lady Gaga: “I would say this is one of the coolest things I’ve ever done. My dad’s probably going to do eighty back-flips when the episode comes out.”
And now, it’s time for pop sensation Lady Gaga, to get her thirty minutes of fame on the show which features yellow-skinned characters. In Gaga’s case, she has already channeled Marge Simpson once before with a towering blue wig.
The pop diva will feature in an episode next season in 2012 and it will be called Lisa Goes Gaga! According to Entertainment Weekly, Gaga will visit Springfield to cheer up a dejected Lisa.
Series creator Matt Groenig says, “It’s very hard to top reality with Lady Gaga, but I’m sure we’ll come up with something that is going to be as improbable as her usual wardrobe.”
This is one television show which has featured everybody-who-is-anybody over the past twenty-odd years. From Kelsey Grammer to James Earl Jones, from Larry King to Metallica, from Ringo Starr to Neil Patrick Harris and from Magic Johnson to Sting, The Simpsons has had the who’s-who of the entertainment, political and sports world make guest appearances on their show. In fact, it even holds a place in the Guinness Book of World Records for the maximum number of celebrity guest appearances.
