While we were wrapping up our garage sale at Zenzi the other day, they were setting up for the Zeb and Haniya performance/tweet-up. If only we had known Aamir Khan would make an appearance too. Anyway, since most of us don’t know who the Dewarists are, here’s a quick note.
Spotted in the attendance : Aamir Khan with his wife Kiran Rao, Konkana Sen with Ranveer Shorey, Cyrus Sahukar and Shreya Ghoshal.
The Dewarists is a part music documentary, part travelogue of inspirational stories of musicians who collaborate with each other over an episode to create original music. The show will see various Dewarists, from diverse musical backgrounds, travel together to one destination in India and spend time dabbling with each other’s music style. By the end of the journey, the artists would have created a track that will reflect each other’s genres and influences as well as what they gathered from their experience at this new place and on the journey. Each episode will also follow the artist’s individual stories and explore the choices they’ve made in their lives and what truly makes them Dewarists. The show will be released online on www.thedewarists.com
