Alright so let’s see what Bollywood’s been wearing. Deepika Padukone was glittering at the premiere of Aarakshan in a Sabyasachi saree.
I don’t like the blouse. I’ll just come out and say it. It’s nice to play around with the sleeve-lengths of blouses, and play up or play down the neckline as well, but here, even I feel suffocated. The work on the blouse is amazing, but doesn’t it make her look older?
A leading tabloid likened her new love for Sabyasachi sarees and long-sleeved blouses to Viday Balan. Now, Vidya Balan, though gorgeous, is just better off in a saree with a long-sleeved blouse. Let’s just say she is bone-structurally challenged. Deepika, you’ve got toned arms and a sexy collar bone, let ’em show!
We saw some celebs at college fest Malhar, Dia Mirza included. So far we’ve liked Dia’s style, but this one is just bleh. Prints are in this season, but this one is just kitschy and boring. And those multiple coloured bangles are a little juvenile. Judging a college fest doesn’t mean you have to dress like you’re still in college.
Javed Jaffery was also present as judge. Now I’m a fan of fedoras, but a straw fedora? In peacock blue? Hmmm… maybe not.
Also spotted at the same fest, Mrinalini Sharma and Rajeev Khandelwal of Aamir fame. I really love a classic fringe, and Mrinalini works it a la Tyra Banks.
And here she is again, at the music release of her film Soundtrack. Model dress code.
I know this next pic is old, but since we’re talking about fedoras and fringes, I had to put it up. Kalki Koechlin rocks both and looks fab! I love her style.
Two people who weren’t at their rockstar best- Sajid Khan and Jacqueline Fernandez, seen at a suburban cinema. I’ve heard of the ‘just rolled out of bed’ look but that’s too much scruff in one frame!
And not to miss ze footwear!
There are nicer ways to dress your feet during the monsoon.
Way to go, Jacky! You dumped the prince of Bahrain for this. Sa-weet.
