Reynu Taandon’s Mughal inspired collection was for the begums of this day and age. She said that she embraced the past but modernized the silhouette with all the zardozi, gota tassels and shine fit for a begum. Reynu is well established in the middle eastern market as well as retails in some parts of Europe besides showing in Delhi. The gracious Mugdha Godse was showstopper for this collection, and friend Madhur Bhandarkar was seen at this show.
Mughda Godse for Reynu Taandon
In a stark, yet welcome contrast to the bling laden Mughal era was the fruitilicious cocktail inspired neon boost by Wendell Rodricks. A personal favourite, he plays his cards right starting off with chic achromatic day dresses progressing into nude body con block colored little nothings that finished off just right with wispy maxi dresses and floaty kaftans in monochromes bursting with colour. The fuschia and tangerine dresses are on the wishlist for the next vacay.
Wendell said that this collection was lounge wear: poolside clothing, inspired by cosmopolitans to caiprioskas to blue lagoons. Quite heady we say!
