Celebrating his 40th at Aurus, Abhishek Kapoor invited all his fashionable celebrity friends to come party. The invite must have said ‘dress to impress’ because almost everyone (the women) were dressed in their finest. Red was the prominent colour of the night, no, they were not caught red handed for being naughty at the party, but rather for their outfits. Kagana Ranaut by far looking the best out of all the ladies who wore the color. Also making the cut were Susanne Roshan, Mehr Jessia and Purab Kohli (I’m not crazy, he pulls off his laid back style!) Check out all the Fashion from the night, who do you think brought their fashion A game?
Psst! Just how cute do Abhishek and Farhan Akhtar look, trying to sweet talk their way out with the cops?!
BTW! look who else was spotted! Thanks @Piyushn for noticing the funkiest celebrity there… MissMalini herself!
The Ladies in Red
Compared to the others I feel that Kangana Ranaut and Farah Ali Khan rocked the colour red. Both chose to wear simple easy clothing, it was a jumpsuit and basic dress but they wore it with a charm and a sex appeal that the others lacked. Having said that, it was a tough choice as Gauri Khan, Sussane Roshan and Kanchi Kaul (I forgive her for the white shoe & bag combo) looked fab in crimson.
BTW! Loving Susanne’s gold studded Gucci Bag, the tassels add that bohemian touch without looking overly 70s.
Did someone not tell Shabbir Ahluwalia to dress up? Lets hope he gets the notice next time.

The Odd Ones Out
Sophie Chaudry and Shruti Seth looked a bit out of place considering the rest were in red. They aren’t badly dressed, just that I wish they’d upped the fashion quotient. It’s the same short fitted one piece and Alexander McQueen uniform from Sophie, I’d like to see her in a pant suit for a change. Shruti Seth looks very cute, but cute was not the call of the night unfortunately, but I still have a little hope for this one, especially after her mimed incident! Could Mehr Jessia ever look bad, honestly, her LBD is gorgeous and age appropriate.
Now for the Boys
I really wish the men would step it up, especially when the women are doing such a good job at trying to be fashionable. That’s why I give Purab Kohli and Farhan Akhtar brownie points for bringing their personalities to their style of dressing (Yellow shoes, drawstring pants and all). I mean there is more to the white shirt and jeans Arjun Rampal (if you are reading this.) As for Sohail Khan, he’s switched careers from actor to body guard, just look at his shirt! Zayeed Khan usually makes a bit of an effort, but we’ll let it slide this time (I’m letting a lot of people off the hook these days huh?)
