This week saw the launch and first look of Indo-American film, 9 Eleven at Sea Princess Hotel, Juhu. The highlight of the film is that it’s the first Bollywood film to be shot in Washington D.C. The film is about 10 people unknown to each other from different walks of life whose darkest secrets are revealed when they meet each other at a bizarre event. The unexpected twist of events makes them realize their lives are intertwined. There is an undertone of terrorism. The cast is brand new, featuring actors who have lived or grown up in the United States. Jatin Pandit has scored the music with Sanjay Chhel‘s lyrics. Kailash Kher, Sunidhi Chauhan and Shaan have sung songs for the film. Narain Mathur has produced it.
We met Chandrachur Singh (after ages) who was there to support his sister who has acted in the film. But his new look caught our attention and he couldn’t reveal anything except it was for a film. Kalpana Lajmi also made an appearance rushing from a hospital visiting a close friend. Kashmera Shah who has done an item number in the film was expected but couldn’t make it. Rumour has it she was jet-lagged. Anaida came in for a short while. Shibani Kashyap who looked snazzy in her lacy dress was a party sweetheart. Ishq Bector joined in soon enough. Also spotted: Alexx O’Neil, Raakesh Paul, Brinda Parekh, Carlyta Mouhini and producer Bob Brahmbhatt.
