Femina hosted a very interesting art show at Le Sutra to relaunch its brand campaign For all the women you are. The art show was introduced as trying to unravel the mysteries of something more intriguing than the female body – the female mind. (Loved that one!) Featured artists included: Anjoli Ela Menon, Nalini Malani, Maya Burman and Aparna Kaur.
The evening also saw the unveiling of the new TVC directed by Anurag Kashyap featuring his wife, the lovely Kalki Koechlin. Kalki was present at the do in casual chic cropped black pants, floral black blouse and colour blocked ankle strap heels (very Fendi-ish). J’adore!
It was a wonderful evening of bright, quirky art at an artfully decorated venue with mellow light and some of the city’s glitterati in their classiest evening wear.
Mini Mathur and her dapper husband caught my attention. Mini looked elegant in a beautiful, brown saree with a back cut-out blouse and a signature neck-piece. Bolly starlets wearing blingy, OTT, sarees with mismatched blouses, please note: this is how a saree is worn!
Jesse Randhawa was there too looking stunning in a cropped denim paired and halter blouse topped with a flower in her hair. The pictures don’t do justice. She is way hotter in person. Take my word on that.
Also noticed Diana Hayden and Sonali Kulkarni. And just as I was leaving, spotted Queenie Dhody entering the party in one of her many form fitting, embellished, short numbers.
After a string of the usual cocktail dos, this event was a refreshing change and was a treat for the tired eyes in more ways than one. If art interests you, we recommend you check out the exhibition that is on uptil July 25th.
