Every month, you may be leafing through Elle (fashion magazine) and sometimes wondering how the featured models, actors, designers et al look so good. Well, to make readers look like stars, Elle invited them to a pampering session at Jean Claude Biguine, Kemp’s corner. In the midst of Sula wine, cheese and yummy nibbles, manicures and pedicures were on the house for the early birds who had RSVPed. For the more elaborate services, readers could avail of a 20% discount. They could even get a one-on-one consultation with Camille Kleiber (Biguine’s top stylist). I thought it was a great initiative as both readers and publishers/writers had a chance to interact with each other and have some girly fun. On a lighter note, Archana Pillai (Group Publisher & CEO, Elle) and I spoke of the times we went to neighborhood parlours quite shabbily dressed before we graduated to full service salons and spas like Jean Claude Biguine. We’ve all been there, haven’t we? xoxo
