Designer Ken Ferns unleashed his creativity with a vengeance when he was recently called upon to design a range of clothes for the annual IIID Copper Awards 2011.
Held at the ITC Grand Central Hotel in Mumbai on Thursday evening, the award ceremony was organised by the Institute of Indian Interior Designers and The International Copper Promotion Council of India.
Ken Ferns created a range of outfits in colours of jet black and pure white, all detailed with copper embellishments. Even the accessories and head-gear were made from copper wire.
What’s more is that Ken also fashioned the bouquet for the bridal outfit from copper leaves and flowers. Truly innovative!
Also innovative and chic were the ensembles designed by the students of Rachna Sansad Design School. Mentored by Neha Asthana, the students incorporated copper into their clothes and accessories.
Though the event was not exactly a glamorous Page3 event, the fashions on display were quite amazing. We liked!
