I was real excited about Genelia D’Souza being paired opposite Abhishek Bachchan in Rohit Shetty’s new comedy, Bol Bachchan. I wrote about it for MissMalini readers but it looks like things were not meant to be for the amazo smile girl. When Rohit Shetty pre-poned the shoot of his flick, Genelia found it increasingly difficult to juggle her dates between Bol Bachchan and Navdeep Singh‘s zombie movie, Shaadi Of The Dead with Abhay Deol.
So, she decided to walk out of the project for good. The media is also abuzz with claims that Genelia was reluctant to act in Rohit’s movie as she felt her role was inconsequential. And now, Rohit Shetty has chosen Prachi Desai to replace her. Incidentally, Prachi and Genelia acted together in a comedy called Life Partner. I wonder how Abhishek Bachchan and Prachi will look on screen. Prachi was last seen in Once Upon A Time In Mumbai. Now, the success of that movie sure seems to have helped its actors bag mega projects.
Emraan’s all over the place with Murder 2 and some other big movies lined up. After all the rumors about Prachi’s friendship with Ekta Kapoor going sour, she’s also doing Mahesh Bhatt‘s flick, Informer with Emraan Hashmi (yet again!) This one will see her in a sensuous avatar. I totally loved Prachi in Rock On! So let’s see what the girl has in store for her fans now.
