Vaibhavi & Shruti Merchant brought a whole new dimension to theatre recently with the musical Taj Express ‘Love has a New Address‘. The story revolved around theories of destiny and karma, through a lens of Indian culture. B-town’s big wigs all wanted to get a taste of this new extravaganza and even dressed up for the occasion. Well almost everyone, except for Anurag Kashyap, maybe he’ll surprise us next time. Check out all the red carpet fashion from the event.
The B-Town Girls
The young ladies of Bollywood namely Sonam Kapoor and Anushka Sharma looked very charming in their wide leg trousers and blouses, a style more girls should adopt it’s simple and elegant and can be worn to almost any event. Rani Mukherjee has been hitting the draped dress store a lot these days, another Donna Karan perhaps? Having said that I really like the look except the patent red heels.
Shraddha Kapoor brings a quirkiness to her all noir outfit with black flats and cute heart stockings (I believe I saw them in Vero Moda). The hair is a tad to pageant but somehow she makes it work. Vaibhavi herself was rocking some wide leg trousers, just wish she had unbuttoned that blazer, would have been a lot more flattering. Farah Khan looks extremely tired (are the kids keeping her busy or maybe another movie?) the outfit is a bit too familiar, did she wear it on her talk show?
The B-Town Boys
Abhishek Bachchan, Ranveer Kapoor and Yash Chopra brought out their blazers teaming it up with their jeans. Although I’m not hating on Ranveer’s look, it would have been a lot better with less wrinkles. I get the whole too cool for school attitude Anurag rightfully has, but I’d like to see the guy ‘suit up’ (to quote Barney), wouldn’t you?
