July 2nd 2011 saw two big weddings in Europe and the sub-continent, both of which garnered their fair share of the limelight.
As if the world had not yet gotten over the much hyped Royal Wedding between Kate Middleton and Prince WOW (William Of Windsor), the hype continued this week with the wedding of His Serene Highness, Prince Albert de Monaco (an independent Principality in the South of France) to South African swimmer Charlene Wittstock.
Charlene wore an ivory-coloured satin couture gown by Armani Prive which was supposedly studded with 40,000 Swarovski crystals. The gown was alo embellished with gold hand embroidery and liberally studded with pearls.
We love the boat neckline that shows off her bone-structure to perfection.
On the other hand, in England, model Kate Moss – who also got married on the same day as Charlene Wittstock – chose a couture gown by disgraced designer John Galliano, which had a romantic, 1920’s appeal about it.

Three weddings in the span of three months…and two of the weddings involve a woman named Kate! Whose gown do you think is the best? Feel free to add your comments as well.
1) Kate Middleton’s couture Sarah Burton (for Alexander McQueen) gown
2) Kate Moss’s couture gown by John Galliano
3) Charlene Wittstock’s Armani Prive couture gown.
