Saif Ali Khan is all set to play one of the central character in a zombie comedy called Go Goa Gone. The movie’s going to be directed by Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK (the guys who made Shor in the City). The director duo describes it as a horror-comedy which will be produced by Saif’s Illuminati Films (the makers of Love Aaj Kal). The zom-com (I like the sound of that!) will be the first of its kind in India.
Both Raj and Krishna wished to explore this narrow but extremely unique genre which gives them an opportunity to direct a comedy with a few chills and thrills thrown in for good measure. As the title suggests, the movie will have Goa as a backdrop but will also shot be in other locations like Mumbai. Kunal Khemu (who’s dating Saif’ sister Soha Ali Khan) has also been roped in by the director duo Raj – Krishna to play one of the lead characters.
The directors wanted to introduce the audience to a new and unexplored genre and were totally against the conventional hero-heroine routine for this project. It is essentially a fun story based on an original script by Raj and Krishna. The movie doesn’t have any central character but four or five protagonists with a story to tell. Saif, we hear has always wanted to be a part of a horror flick. His dream’s finally coming true this July as he starts shooting for this film. Zom-coms have been Hollywood’s thing for a while now. We wish that Bollywood makes us proud too with its first ever attempt at zombie comedy!
