MissMalini’s Business Manager, Mike Melli at b:blunt

Did I tell you my job takes me to b:blunt every now and then? 😉 No? Then I mustn’t have told you how much I love to watch people transform from one look to another. On Sunday afternoon, I found myself at b:blunt, Khar. I tell the receptionist I’m with Malini. She corrects me and says, “MissMalini, you mean”.  Yup, that’s right lady.

Step 3 | At the salon: Mad Men Style

So, MissMalini comes along and we start shooting. For her   Cointreauversial party, MissMalini wanted a 1920s burlesque look. It’s   great when your hairstylist gets what you mean. Shifali Shetty started   by showing MissMalini the shape her hair would take after she had   worked on it. She then sent MissMalini for a hair wash, dried it only   40% and layered it with moose. Instead of using tongs to curl her hair,   Shifali physically curled MissMalini’s hair, pinned it and let it dry   for at least 45 minutes. She opened the curls, tied some of it with   braids and let the rest of the hair move freely. It looked good!

As for the make-up, Shimsha and MissMalini didn’t want  it to  be matched with the outfit. They wanted dark eye shadow, bright  lips and  of course, a beauty spot. In waiting, MissMalini with her  curly hair,  looked like a character straight out of Mad Men.  Keeping the  cheeks minimal, Shimsha did a great job of the make-up.  Don’t you agree?  I loved being a part of MissMalini’s journey from  casual to  cointreauversial. xoxo
