Following the tradition of author, danseuse, journalist and hippie, the late Janet Fine, The Artwalk, put together painstakingly by journalist-painter-author-singer Sangeeta Wadhwani, saw a host of talent at their creative best. Vocals by Mudasir Ali, the sufi singer from the heart of Kashmir accompanied by octopad player Dinesh Ghate, dholak player Vinay Gavankar, Kiran Hingne on guitar and Milind Achrekar on keyboard, followed by journalist-media strategist Anusha Srinivasan Iyer announcing an Acoustics Welfare Forum for musicians and the initiatives, a discussion with Mani D’Mello – an author who has exposed the underbelly of cricket in India, and performances by a grassroot Grammy nominee voicalist and NBC award-winner Carlyta Mouhini, a seasoned theatre actor with a Hollywood history – Gary Richardson, ad guru Alyque Padamsee, Subodh – a man who paints on Burmese paper to live music, Madhusudan the sitarist and Cyrus Dastur with his Shamiana!
