Katrina Kaif: (On receiving this year’s honour) “When I become a grandmother with a bunch of grandchildren running around me, I’m going to tell them that your grandma was once considered to be the most beautiful.”
Who is the most stunning woman of 2011? Katrina Kaif that’s who! With her chiseled features, graceful demeanor and a commendable attitude (she’s all about the positivity and is so modest!), it’s more of a reminder than an announcement we think. One look at all the fans she’s earned in her short span in the industry and you’ll know!
PEOPLE Magazine (India) named this lovely lady as India’s “Most Beautiful Woman” – for the year 2011. Sharing exclusive photographs from her growing up years and her beauty must-haves, the flawless actress talks about what makes her feel and look good.
Crediting her mixed lineage for her stunning looks, Katrina says, “I’d say that I look like my mom as well as my dad.” What Katrina truly loves about herself is her hair. “I was 11 when I had hair that went below my hips,” she reveals.
Looking ahead to a beautiful future, this lissome beauty says, “I want to be healthy and fit. The feeling ‘Oh, I let myself go’ should never happen at any time of one’s life. I always want to be in control of my body.” She has been known to follow a strict work out routine and a moderated lifestyle. The glowing skin just speaks for it!
Excerpts from Katrina Kaif’s interview
When do you feel the most beautiful?
When I’m surrounded by people who genuinely love me and I’m at ease, without any worries. I think I’m beautiful when I’m truly in my own skin. Standing in front of the camera, with great hair, make-up and lighting, is not the best way to feel good.
Your beauty role model?
Penelope Cruz. I have always loved her style. She doesn’t look overdone or over-processed (in terms of facelifts/surgeries). She looks so natural.
The biggest beauty risk you have taken?
I think cutting a fringe for Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani was a drastic change but I love that look.
Besides this, the current issue includes a “Fabulist” featuring Deepika Padukone, Kareena Kapoor, Sonam Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra and other gorgeous celebrities, who shone through this year. Also, see female stars across different age groups like Gul Panag and Shriya Saran pose with minimal make-up in the photo feature “Natural Beauties”. Plus, actress Mandira Bedi poses pregnant for PEOPLE and speaks for the first time about the “most beautiful phase” in her life.
Quite an exciting issue this one!
