I would say about 80% of the time we’re in our favorite pair of jeans. No matter what the occasion we’ve allowed the jean to become part of any dress code. Yet finding that perfect pair, can make you miserable. I’ve had many trial room disasters that have gone on to spoil my whole day. I’m guessing you know how that feels right? Well I’m here to share with you some tips of finding that feel good pair. When it comes to jeans, don’t pay attention to trends, nothing flattering about hip-ilicious girls in skinny jeans!
1. Make thighs look slimmer
Boot cut Jeans give the illusion of a slimmer thigh. A distressed or faded jean that is darker on the inner and outer thigh makes legs appear slimmer and longer.
2. Pear shaped problems
I think this body type has the most problems finding a good pair of jeans. The solution get them altered. Buy a pair that fits around the hip and thigh and get a tailor to fit it around the waist. Opt for mid rise (few inches below waist) Straight fit or Boot cut to balance heavy hips/thighs. Avoid tapered or slim jeans.
3. Low rise jeans
If you don’t have a toned tummy skip these jeans nothing worse than looking like a muffin. Also when wearing low rise jeans, cute underwear with good coverage is a must.
4. Torn Jeans
This is definitely a personal choice, I feel once you pass your teens get rid of them. Unless you going to wear them at home on your couch to watch TV. If your a teen with loads of attitude and a bit of a punk then rock out a pair of slashed jeans. Whatever it is don’t wear torn jeans to any formal or work occasion!
5. Find the right colour.
The black jean has become a staple, and why not its uber comfy and slimming for most body types. The rule of thumb is darker for night lighter for day. Choose dark indigo for night or formal events, and lighter for day and casual events. I have a pair of electric blue jeans but those are a fun pair, you just need one novelty colour.
