Last night, the music of Ready was launched at Film City ‘Sal-man’ style. Salman Khan performed to the song Character Dheela‘ You remember when I’d shared a picture from the Bangkok schedule here on MissMalini.com? Obviously, after his performance, everyone was curious to know if we would see him in a superhero avatar in the coming future. To that his witty answer was, “I don’t want to be bitten by a makdee and be Spiderman. I don’t want to wear a red chaddi outside and be Superman. I am ever-ready Sal-Man!”
Spotted: Rajat Rawail, Sohail Khan, Pritam, Devi Sri Prasad, Atul Agnihotri, Alvira Khan, Divya Khosla Kumar, singer Tulsi Kumar, Boney Kapoor, Ajay Kapoor, Niketan Dheer, Sharat Saxena, Arya Babbar, Nitin Manmohan, Anuradha Patel Singh, Mahesh Manjrekar.
He shared some more funny moments with Asin, Zarine Khan, producers Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar and director Anees Bazmee on stage. Of course, he thought it would be better if the choreographer Mudasir was on stage and they both shook a leg. The truly ‘being human’ part of the evening was when the cast felicitated the people who have been associated with Film City for over three decades. Salman, Asin and Zarine felicitated Mr. Rathod (Retired), who worked as Film City manager for more than 30 years; Mr. Shivaji Bhosle, Assistant Manager since 31 years and Mr. S.M. Kadam who has been in service for more than 25 years as Security guard. Salman even gave sarees to the women workers and gifts to the men for their hard work and dedication towards Film City. Bhushan Kumar expressed his feelings on the act, “Salman bhai is a good human being and only he can think of such an act. I am very glad we have made this event so personal to those who make our movies happen behind the scenes”.
The music: The songs ‘Character Dheela’ and ‘Dhinka Chika’ are already creating waves. I catch myself singing ‘mein karu toh saala chracter dheela hai’ quite often. Apart from these two groovy numbers, the album also has a romantic track titled ‘Humko pyaar hua’ and another song titled ‘Meri Ada’ which the makers are hoping will create a rage in upcoming weddings! Remix versions of the four songs are included in the album.
