Keeping with tradition of Absolut’s 30 years of creative collaborations, 20 pieces of original artwork from The Absolut Art Collection were displayed at Project 88. Subodh Gupta showcased his Absolut Art with a sculpture of stainless steel vessels in the shape of an Absolut bottle. The sculpture looks way cool! I like that he used common house hold vessels that are found in India. It gives the Absolut Art movement and Indian edge. “Absolut has always inspired the masters in the art world and took my fancy mostly because of that. Inspired by my traditional kitchen utensil art, I have seamlessly created an Absolut Subodh Gupta piece that carries my distinct yet unique style.” says the artist. The gallery also displayed other Absolut Art by Andy Warhol, Francesco Clemente, Louise Bourgeois, Rosemarie Trockel, Angus Fairhurst, Jan Saudek and Béatrice Cussol. Absolut-ely awesome!
