Dozakh has launched a very confusing spring summer 2011 collection. Confusing because the colours all depict fall – deep purples, greens and blood red don’t strike me as summer. Also there is a certain heaviness to the clothes that are just not becoming of the hot summer months. I like short breezy easy to wear dresses for summer, but here I’m faced with long, textured and voluminous dresses, which would actually work for autumn/winter (if Mumbai ever had a winter). A bit disappointing, I like to see my Indian fashion industry move forward with the times and not break off at a tangent.
