Mukul Deora explains it best, “I understand a city by finding its underbelly and exploring it. The Eastern side of the island city remains undiscovered for many, and I thought it would be fun to take my friends on a trip along its sprawling, crumbling backbone, while stopping at local watering holes along the way. With a little music of course! Kudos to Red Bull for helping me do it.”
How cool is this? Mukul Deora and Akshai Sarin just took Mumbai nightlife to a whole new level! Their one-of-a-kind open top bus ride through Mumbai’s most authentic watering-holes with a soundtrack to boot made for a pretty killer experience. Mukul (love him!) and Akshai (birthday boy!) played host to the evening supported by Red Bull (yaay Red Bull!) as 30 people drove down the Bombay Port Trust Road stopping at some of Mumbai’s oldest bars for a unique pub crawl. The awesome bit? Each passenger got a live collage of music played directly into their headphones! Did I mention this all happened in an open top bus?! #Wicked.
Spotted: Former Miss India Ekta Chowdhry, Ali Sachedina who incidentally manages Kailash Kher, DJ Tiesto and Linkin Park (what? really?!), Stuart Da Costa (from the band Something Relevant), London based artiste and sculptor Anushya Sharma and web-based lifestyle influencers Mansi Poddar (of Brown Paper Bag) and Sita Wadhwani of (CNNgo.com.) So bummed I missed it but traffic home from Sula Fest was BRUTAL! But next time you better believe I’ll be there live-tweeting, “I’m on a Bus B*tches!”
