There was quite a celebrity turn-out for Dr. Batra’s 5th Positive Health Awards 2010 held at N.C.P.A., Mumbai. Bollywood actors Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai felicitated the awardees at a glittering ceremony attended by over 1,000 invitees. These Awards are India’s first health honours instituted by Dr Batra’s, to recognise those who have displayed outstanding courage in the fight against disease and disability. The jury comprised of Smt. Maneka Gandhi, Anu Aga, Vivek Oberoi, R. Balki, Rajiv Bajaj and Dr. Mukesh Batra who selected seven winners from over hundred of nominations – Dr. Dyandeo Chopade, Kritika Purohit, Anita Guruprasad, Sushmeeta Bubna, Suresh Chalke, Dhriti Pandit and Sabira Khan who exemplify what it takes to transform humans into heroes.
