I had one of those surreal, packed but non-hectic nights last night – surprisingly ending up back in bed Cinderella-style (well, that is accounting for any traffic that pumpkin might have encountered on the ride home, so around 1:00am my time!) My first stop was sushi-dinner at Shiro with friends (meant to be a very non-Page 3 affair but somehow we got whisked upstairs to pose (chopsticks in hand) at their spanking new teppanyaki table (thank you Andrea Brown aka my Expat Unplugged!) This is where I serendipitously ran into two delightful girls from Condenast Afsha and Anitha (GQ & Digital Sales respectively) who made me feel all celebrity-like (yaay!) while our chef/magician cooked up a storm and did a few card tricks between courses. (Totally worth a visit btw, the tenderloin is amazing and you just have to get the chef to try his “raw egg trick” on your date.) My next stop was next door at the Hard Rock Cafe where Sportslifestyle company launched the PUMA Creative Factory, “a new shoe customization concept that blends virtual and real elements to deliver an innovative and authentic sneaker design experience.” That’s what she said. Lol.
No but really it was kinda cool. You could pose for a Polaroid picture, design a shoe on an iPad, create your own Puma t-shirt or even stand on the ledge (usually reserved for the waiters and the YMCA) and strike a pose – here’s looking at you Imam Siddiqui!) was SO distracted I forgot to order a drink! (More pix here.)

My last stop of the night (before bed) was People Magazine’s “Sexiest Party” announcing “The Sexiest Man Alive 2010”. Let’s just say the cover was hot, the party was not 🙂 but I did spot some Bigg Boss evictees fresh out of the slammer – pix coming soon on MissMalini.com xoxo
