Oh come on! I haven’t been following the show at all but I find it very difficult to believe that this wasn’t part of the script from the get-go. In a dramatic twist Sara Khan and Ali Merchant unexpectedly decide to get married inside the Bigg Boss House? This has TRP tactics and wedding freebies written all over it! Anyhow, props to the producers for finding YET another way to get even MORE mileage out of the show (eat your heart out Rakhi Sawant, bet she’s kicking herself that she didn’t think of it first.) So now they’ve got Vikram Phadnis designing clothes for the bride and groom and having mehendi ceremonies while the inmates help Sara overcome his pre-wedding jitters and what not. Blah… Its like a really bad rip off of an already warped version of reality. But ha! For the first time I have no desire whatsoever to watch the show and it cannot suck me back in, I’m free! (Free at last.) But in case you’re not, here’s the scoop.
Vikram, known for his bridal wear, is currently working on Sara Khan’s wedding outfit for her Nikaah with Ali Merchant in Bigg Boss house. Vikram says “It is indeed a pleasure to design outfits for their big day and a different experience too as I am putting together special outfits for them in just 2-3 days. I have also sourced the best of the jewelery in Kundan and Jadao Polki from Jaipur, which is exotic and expensive and would go well with her outfit. My aim is to make her look beautiful for her D-Day” Sara’s bridal outfit will be dipped in artistic motifs with embellishments and kundan embroidery on the lehenga while for Ali, he has planned a sherwani embellished with antique gold. (Here’s a sneak preview of some of his planned designs.)
Do me a favor, if you happen to still be watching this train-wreck of a reality show, tweet me when the sangeet starts. I’m betting last season’s item girls will be fighting over who gets the solo on Munni Badnaam Hui with the original Chulbul Pandey, Salman Khan in attendance!
