These days Sapna Bhavnani is a carrot top! (As last spotted at The Art Conspiracy held over the last few days in Bandra.) I like it, its like her – fiery and kinetic. But this isn’t the first time she’s changed the color of her pixie locks (and surely not the last) I remember first blogging about her Blonde bob back in May 2008 which got me thinking about the hip colors of the season. I always feel like doing something brave with my hair around this time of year, if you do too here’s how to “do” it in Vogue!
Red Hot!
Red is the hot hair color trending for women in 2010. whether it a soft burgundy a firey or deep red, this hair color trends for 2010 will instantly jazz up your appearance. Try tones of cherry, auburn or copper and see which suits you best. If you’d rather not go all out, strategically highlighting a few chunks of your hair red works too!
Platinum/Dirty Blonde
Platinum blonde is pretty stunning on very fair complexions and one of the hair color trends going big this year is dual toning your locks with two shades of blonde mixed together. (But I’d err on the side of caution here because blonde hair doesn’t suit every desi girl, plus the whole “item girl” and Southie star posse taking to the trend hasn’t helped improve it’s Blond Bimbo association much!)
Chocolate Brown
If you like your hair color the way it is then you’re in luck! Browns are here to stay but try to go darker and deeper than your natural tone. Apart from dark brown, black is back. Try getting blonde highlights in black or deep brown hair for a fresh new look!
Funky Shades
If you want to get flashy its now or never! Citrus shades, like yellow and orange have been popular this summer but as the temperature drops go lavender or purple. Occasionally wearing blues and greens is also an alternative and pinks (my favorite) are another hit this season.
