So I admit I may have gotten a bit distracted and forgotten to film a large part of my trip so far (but its still playing in technicolor in my head, and since I take a LOT of pictures nobody panic, I think its time we hear it for New York (among other things!) To take a leaf out of Henri Cartier-Bresson book, “I prowled the streets all day, feeling very strung-up and ready to pounce, determined to “trap” life – to preserve life in the act of living.”
Let’s Hear It For…
…the friends I’ve made in Mumbai but who came out especially to party with me in New York
…taxi drivers that will take you anywhere (without bitching)
…ATMs that count your cash for you
…the incredible architecture all over the city
…the rows of crunchy green apples at the Parker Meridian
…the deeply disturbing naked cowgirl/cowboy’s in Manhattan
…good vibes on wind-chimes
…that giant sculpture of love in the middle of the street 🙂
…Forever 21, Zara, Aldo & Victoria’s Secret
…the MoMA for its quirky and cool exhibits
…an awesome “ghetto” Burger Joint hidden inside a fancy French hotel
…the good people over at Desi Hits for curry in a hurry
…Broadway musicals with incredible sets and making things magical
…the superb DJs over at Tenjune
…chefs at Frying Pan who give you their own fries if you’re hungry and their kitchen closed
…the epic view from the brand new glass-wrapped Press Lounge at Ink48 Hotel
…hot dogs wrapped in bacon
And yes of course, lets hear it for New York!
New York,
Concrete jungle where dreams are made of,
There’s nothing you can’t do,
Now you’re in New York
These streets will make you feel brand new,
the lights will inspire you,
Let’s hear it for New York, New York, New York
