The August Vogue cover caught my eye off a bill board today. “Age(less)” Vogue. Intriguing. They’ve got Shobhaa De, Feroze Gujral, Ujjwala Raut and Jyothsna Chakravarthy looking pretty amazing (air-brushed or not.) Photographed by Farrokh Chothia, some of the most prominent faces in Indian fashion, bridge the age gap this month. According to Priya Tanna, Editor Vogue India, “This issue explores the interesting dynamic between age and style. This is not an age issue, but one that celebrates ageless style!”
And of course as Vogue would do they hosted a lunch at the fancy-shmancy Zodiac Grill; Taj Mahal Palace & Towers; Colaba, Mumbai to celebrate its first ever Age(less) issue. Spotted: Haseena Jethmalani, Nisha Jhaveri , Lata Patel, Sangeeta Kathiawad yesteryears models Pheroza Modi, Anna Bredmeyer, Rachel Reuben, Nandinii Sen, Jeannie Naoroji (India’s first fashion choreographer who has trained the likes of Shobha De, Anna Bredmeyer (Anna is from the trio of the Bredmeyer sisters who’ve brought home Miss India titles), and Zeenat Aman also celebrated her birthday so they got her a cake!), Jeroo Mulla, Divya Thakur, Salome Roy Kapur, Marianne Rao.
