Last night at Olive in Bandra (Mumbai) there were a few girls who whipped around more than once when they saw this fellow who at times (more so head on than in profile) looked a whole lot like Aamir Khan. Tragically it wasn’t him (or his brother Faisal Khan as someone was suggesting) and rather unfortunately for all of us who did the double take our Aamir lookalike was loving every minute of it. I think someone finally went up and asked him. Obviously a girl. We on the other had did the dignified thing and took sneaky pictures from a distance.
I blame the wine for the delayed reaction on this one but it did eventually dawn on us that the real Aamir Khan (however adorable) is definitely a foot shorter than this dude was. Anyway, somehow this sparked off a debate on how much “action” this guy must get and if he actively keeps up with Aamir’s latest haircut and clothing styles. So many questions. Next time I promise I’ll ask.
A girl I met last night was also telling me about a website that’s all the rage in America called www.gawker.com explicitly for the purpose of snooping into the lives of celebrities and their whereabouts at any given time of the day. (and on further exploration I discovered it’s actually sort of like missmalini but instead of Mumbai it’s about the New York glitterati “The source for daily Manhattan media news and gossip” which focuses on celebrities and the media industry.)
I like it! If you happen to spot a celebrity please post me a message or email malini@radioone.in immediately. I will reward you for your trouble I promise. 🙂
