After Radhe Shyam, I wanted to know what role Prabhas picks up, but when I heard that he will be playing Raghava in Om Raut’s Adipurush, I got excited. Similarly after playing a righteous cop in Vikarm Vedha, Saif Ali Khan will step into the shoes of Lankesh. Today, the makers of the magnum opus mythological film released its teaser. After watching it I must say that it looks grand and full of action and adventure.
Before elaborating further on the film, here’s a look at the teaser:
As the name suggests, Adipursh is based on Ramayana where Prabhas plays Raghav while Kriti Sanon gets into the character of Janaki. The teaser begins with a shot of Raghav meditating under the water and getting attacked by several demons. As he wipes them out, we also get a glimpse of Lankesh, performing a ritual at the snow-clad mountain. There is also a scene where you could see 10 heads coming out from his body. While going on a battlefield, he rides a huge dreadful creature. We also see a glimpse of vanar sena as well as Laxman and Hanuman. Raghav and Janki’s short scene also appears in the clip. Sharad Kelkar’s voice as Ram is highly impactful. It looks like the film is high on VFX.
Adipursh has been directed by Om Raut, who made the blockbuster Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior. You can check out his exclusive interview here.
The mega budget project has been produced by Bhushan Kumar and Krishan Kumar of T-series, Raut, Prasad Sutar, and Rajesh Nair of Retrophiles. The film will be released in cinemas on January 12, 2023 in IMAX and 3D. You can watch it in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam.
Prabhas will next be seen in a film with Deepika Padukone. Kriti on the other hand will share screen space with Varun Dhawan in Bhediya.
After looking at the action-packed teaser, I am looking forward to the trailer.
