Supermodel and actor Milind Soman has quit TikTok after encountering a video of Sonam Wangchuk. He took to his Twitter to announce that he is no longer a part of the Chinese video-sharing social networking app.
His move to quit the app comes after Ladakh based engineer and an education reformer, Sonam Wangchuk spoke about the platform. In the video, he encouraged netizens to delete TikTok and everything made and manufactured in China. Milind’s tweet read, “I am no longer on TikTok #BoycottChineseProducts.” He accompanied the tweet with a short clip of Wangchuk’s original video.

Did you know, Sonam Wangchuk also happens to be the man who inspired the character of ‘Phungsuk Wangdu’ played by Aamir Khan in the movie 3 Idiots. He recently released a video on Youtube titled, ‘China Ko Jawaab Sena Degi Bullet Se, Naagrik Dengey Wallet Se’.
In this video, Wangchuk said that apart from the soldiers, the citizens should also counter China. He substantiated on the ways that the citizens can leave an impact. He said, “Is baar Bharat ki bullet power se zyada wallet power kaam aayegi. (This time the wallet power will play a more important role than the bullet.)” He additionally also went on to state that China makes almost Rs 5 lakh crores from its business with our country every year and this money is used against us at the borders to fight our soldiers.
