Bollywood is one industry which is known to be everchanging. Someone who is at the top one moment could be forgotten the very next of something new comes along. It is also the industry where maintaining your public image is necessary. It is not just me who thinks so, in a recent interview with Hindustan Times, Sarfaraz Khan raised the same questions after his father, Kader Khan‘s sad demise after a prolonged illness.
As you may know, after the veteran actor passed away, many celebrities came forward to give their condolences. One of them was Govinda, who spoke of Kader ji’s death and also called him a ‘father figure’. However, it seems to have irked Sarfaraz. In an interview with HT, Sarfaraz said,
Please ask Govinda how many times he inquired about his father figure’s health. Has he even bothered to call us even once after my father’s passing away?
He also spoke about the camps and loyalties of the industry and how those who once contributed to Indian cinema are forgotten. And how it is because of the out-of-sight, out-of-mind nature of the industry.
However, I believe, Kader ji’s demise is sad but he will certainly be missed by fans all over.
