The #MeToo movement has taken over Bollywood. Tanushree Dutta spoke about being sexually harassed by Nana Patekar on the sets of Horn Ok Pleassss 10 years ago. Ever since then, a lot of women are opening up about their encounters with a lot of men that have made them feel uncomfortable and harassed them. Last year, Mumbai Mirror had briefly covered a story about how a crew member from Vikas Bahl’s team had spoken about facing sexual harassment at the hands of the filmmaker in 2015. While nothing much happened back then, recently the girl gave a detailed interview to Huffington post and even Kangana Ranaut spoke about Vikas’ misconduct on the sets.
Sonam was present at a summit where the actress was asked to comment on Kangana’s views to which the actress had said that while it is hard to take her seriously, she appreciated that she had spoken up. Sonam’s statement didn’t go down to well with Kangana who said,
What does she mean by saying, ‘It’s hard to believe Kangana’? When I am sharing my Me Too story, who gives her a right to judge me?
Sonam, in order to clear the air, took to Instagram to post a picture and said that she was misquoted. She also said that she has only love for the actress.

Apart from Vikas and Nana Patekar, others who have been accused of sexual misconduct are Kailash Kher, Rajat Kapoor and Chetan Bhagat.
