Aishwarya Rai Bachchan made her comeback to the big screen after a hiatus with Karan Johar‘s Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. We expected and hoped to see more of her in films after her return but the actress has been doing it on her own terms and at her own pace. She recently played a cameo in the film, Fanney Khan, starring Anil Kapoor and won everyone over as the diva, Baby Singh. Ash is all geared up for her next film, Gulab Jamun where she’ll be sharing screen space with her hubby, Abhishek Bachchan. The duo was also rumoured to be doing Shailesh R Singh‘s cop drama together however as reported by DNA, AB dismissed all reports and confirmed that “the cop movie is not happening.” The Bachchan jodi might not do the film but a source revealed to DNA that the script had been reworked.
Here’s what they said:
Shailesh and his team of writers have reworked the script. It’s still a drama, but with humorous undertones. The main characters are two IPS officers who are married to each other.
Talking about Taapsee Pannu being a part of it, the source added:
The makers have discussed the idea with her. It’s a strong female character, so the producers were looking out for someone with substance to deliver the part. Taapsee is yet to get a proper narration. Only then will she decide whether she wants to do it or not.
There’s no confirmation from the actress about any of this but Taapsee’s previous roles and upcoming projects kinda make her fit the role really well, no?
