Nishi Harishchandra Tripathi, a hardcore Sanjay Dutt fan died this January at the age of 62. Interestingly (for the lack of a better word), she willed all her savings and valuables to the actor. An extremely overwhelmed Dutt waived his right to her money after being informed about this development last month.
The actor’s lawyer, Subhash Jadhav told BBC that the actor was surprised when he was told that Nishi made him the nominee of her savings and safe deposit locker valuables. As per the news portal, he said:
We are overwhelmed and deeply humbled by the gesture of the fan. I am not personally acquainted with her and never met her. So I waive my rights as a nominee of the account and the locker.
He reportedly has no idea of the worth of her savings, as the bank didn’t provided him any information. Further, they will adhere to any legal proceeding required to transfer the money back to Nishi’s family.
Sanju baba definitely has some die-hard, loyal fans.
