After 18 years of marriage, Malaika Arora and Arbaaz Khan announced their separation earlier this year and are now finally heading for a divorce. They reportedly attended their first mandatory counselling session on Tuesday morning at the Bandra family court.
As per reports, the matter will now be taken up on May 11 next year, which gives them six months to contemplate their decision. A source told BT:
During the counselling session on Tuesday, Malaika and Arbaaz spent a few hours talking to the judge, and then the counsellor joined in towards the end. Usually a couple is asked to reconsider their decision before they part ways. They are also questioned about why they wish to separate, if they’re doing it on their own will and what would be the monetary and other terms of divorce. The same questions were asked to Malaika and Arbaaz and both of them handled the matter maturely.
This is it then, I guess!
