Disclaimer: I am an ardent Splitsvilla watcher and lover.
Let’s just go ahead and say it – Bigg Boss is Splitsvilla for adults. Between Suyyash Rai, Prince Narula and Rishabh Sinha, Bigg Boss 9 can easily host a spin-off Splitsvilla series. And since Rishabh has entered the house, it’s got more Splitsvilla-esque than ever. I’m at no point commenting about whether one is better than other – I’m just saying.
Day 24 of the Bigg Boss 9 house was particularly hard to watch – from degrading tasks to Ali Quli Mirza confessing to stalking Rimi Sen in real life, we’d really seen it all. But what I couldn’t get over were the fights between Prince and Suyyash – all redundant, all a little too long, all fit for Splitsvilla.
1. “Game on!”
I just feel you can’t be using phrases like “Game On” after a certain age. Watch the fight here.
2. Mike Issue
Rishabh was wearing a hoodie over his mike and Prince as captain kept telling him to not do that, but Rishabh wasn’t listening, so things escalated really quickly and there was a random war of words between the two. Yawn.
3. Murga
I can’t even!
-Prince to Rishabh: Tu Murga Hai
– Rishabh to Prince: Tu Nakli Hai
4. Women Empowerment
So I understand Prince’s intentions were well meaning, but if you keep saying “ladke se jeetke dikhata” to Rishabh, all it is implying is that you don’t think women are good/strong enough to compete with. And if you guys watch Splitsvilla you know that saving a “woman’s honour” is everyone’s go-to during an argument.
5. Same Ol’ Same Ol’
The last fight between them was really an echo. Prince kept telling Rishabh to move his hand, and Rishabh kept telling Prince to back off. Yawn.
