The much awaited Hrithik Roshan–Katrina Kaif starrer Bang Bang hit the theaters today and we had a kickass time watching it. The film is an official adaptation of Hollywood’s Knight And Day that saw Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz globe trotting and fighting baddies. Its desi spin off does a fine job at it. Here are 5 things that we loved about the film.
1. The Daadi
Katrina Kaif’s daadi in the film is just too adorable. Played by Kamlesh Gill, who you might remember as Ayushman Khurana’s beeji in Vicky Donor, is a progressive grandmother who is funny, supportive, quirky and absolutely adorable.
2. The Action
There are guns, there are car chases and there are two gorgeous people in the middle of all the action. If stylishly shot action sequences and impressive stunts (under water and over it!) excite you, there’s a lot for you to look forward to in the film!
3. The Songs
Vishal-Shekhar have done a pretty great job at the music of the film. So much so that even hours after coming back from the theater, you’d have the tune stuck in your head. While Tu Meri kicks off the grand start to Bang Bang, the title track is an apt end to the film as it features in the end credits. Meherban is soulful and we think it is the most beautifully shot song of the film.
4. The Chemistry
Okay. We’ve already seen how great Hrithik and Katrina look together on screen in Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, but Bang Bang takes it to the next level. They look so hot and comfortable with each other through the film. Well, you’ve already seen the Meherban song. Need we say anything more?
5. The Eye Candy
OHMYGOD Hrithik Roshan! He is perfect to be our (K3G) Poo’s date as he is bursting with “good looks! good looks! good looks!” Hrithik is the film’s prime eye candy and looks sinfully edible in most shots. The tan, the hair, the body… it overwhelms at times. When he’s not looking drop dead gorgeous, he is efficiently cooking fish by the beach, teaching Kat to kiss and just being absolutely charming. All this while fighting the bad guys. Add to that, his brilliant portrayal of his character in the film!
We’d suggest you go catch Bang Bang this weekend and tell us what you loved about this film!
