Marrakech Film Festival’s ‘Tribute to Hindi Cinema’ event on Saturday night had the Bollywood men dressed in their Sunday bests. BUT, who got it better than the rest? Come this way to find out 😉
Such a shame about the trouser hem, which kinda took the shine off this thought-out Dolce & Gabbana ensemble of Shah Rukh Khan. Although the burgundy scarf was one item too many, he looked a-dorka-able in that three-piece suit and burgundy bow-tie <3
I’m sipping green tea and admiring away the outfits of Amitabh Bachchan and Ronnie Screwvala. Yeah, I’m a sucker for bandhgalas on men, and more so, when the look is executed as flawlessly as these two have. But Amitabh Bachchan gets some brownie points for le smoking slippers – this man has serious style!
Sidharth Malhotra and his burgundy bandhgala would have been in the company of Big B and UTV’s head honcho had he not paired it with those tack-tastic shiny trousers (a K.Jo suggestion?). Brownie points for the pocket square: the blue contrasted very nicely against the burgundy. And oh, word of advice, Sid: leave your phone at home if it means not ruining the line of your trousers like THIS! Oh, oh, oh, I’m dead certain Varun Dhawan looked beyond dapper at the event. I couldn’t find a pic, but look at the far left of Sid’s image, that’s Varun and I’m absolutely loving what I’m seeing.
But Arjun Rampal’s bandhgala look kinda underwhelmed me. He’s looking a tad sloppy and it’s mainly to do with the fit; the sinking pocket square is not helping his case either.
Looks like Hrithik Roshan randomly threw in pieces from his wardrobe and hoped for the best. His outfit was all kinds of wrong, starting from the wing-tip collar to right down to his trouser hem. And the belt poking out from the three-piece dinner suit *facepalm* And, what was he thinking when he decided to step out sans a neck- or bow-tie?
But my absolute favourite look – male or female – of the night, and possibly the whole of 2012, came courtesy of Anurag Kashyap. Just how elegant and majestic he looked in that Sabyasachi sherwani? And that finishing touch of red pocket square… totally blown away I am! I’d give Anurag 100 out of 10 for this!!!
