MissMalini: Hi Nari! you’re always so impeccably dressed what’s your working wardrobe secret?
Narendra Kumar: My secret is to work bottom up. Start with the right pair of shoe match the trouser then the shirt and jacket. You have to start the day with the right pair of shoes!
MM: What should all women possess in their working girl wardrobes?
NK: The basics are a little different today than they were some time back. The modern women has a great pair of jeans a few white shirts and essentially a pair of shoes that are not too high…
MM: Tell us a little bit about your association with ELLE?
NK: The Elle association goes back many years when I helped set up the magazine as its first fashion editor, this issue however is about something that’s always interested me. Working women and a means to empower them. So I felt it was most appropriate to do this launch with Elle’s issue on the same subject.
MM: Who do you consider the most stylish working woman in B-Town?
NK: Today most B-town working girls are very conscious of their looks. Some of my favourites in no particular order are Priyanka Chopra, Kangana Ranaut, Katrina Kaif, Sonam Kapoor, Bipasha Basu, Lisa Haydon, Deepika Padukone and Neha Dupia.
MM: Tell us a style secret that’s all your own!
NK: I have more shoes in my wardrobe than clothes, from neons to pastels you name it and I’ll probably have a pair!
