The Rajasthan High Court in Jodhpur has acquitted Salman Khan in the blackbuck and Chinkara poaching case. The case has been going on since 1998 and this is the result of an appeal Salman’s lawyers had filed in the High Court after a lower court had sentenced the actor to five years imprisonment. The Internet (especially Twitter) has reacted to this breaking news. Some people are happy, some are ashamed of the judicial system, but most are making jokes because humour is the best way to deal with things in life.

The judiciary should propound a doctrine of anticipatory acquittal especially for Salman Khan. It could save his and everyone else’s time.
