The Sharma family from Comedy Nights With Kapil (CNWK) has constantly been in the news for one problem after another, ever since the show has gone off-air. First there was an unanticipated delay in the airing of the finale episode, and then Krushna Abhishek, whose show Comedy Nights Live has replaced CNWK, had a lot of things to say to Kapil Sharma. And now, in a recent turn of events, Colors TV has issued a legal notice to Ali Asgar and Sunil Grover, who played Dadi and Gutthi on CNWK respectively.
A live show called Dabang starring Salman Khan and Jacqueline Fernandez is to be held in Surat on February 19, where Ali and Sunil were supposed to be seen in their show avatars. Now all of that is fine… except, according to their contract, Ali cannot dress up as an old lady with jooda and Sunil cannot tie his hair with ribbons (classic Gutthi!) without prior permission from the channel. But the organizers of this event did not inform the channel about their participation or take permission, which has led to this problem for Ali and Sunil.
Well, something is clearly not right between Colors and team CNWK, but we hope this issue is resolved soon. Your thoughts?
