Irrespective of our political leanings and beliefs, we can agree to the fact that Dr. Shashi Tharoor is one of the top debators of the country. That’s why it’s not surprising when the diplomat and former minister of state for external affairs took part in a debate at the Oxford Union. The argument was on whether Britain should pay reparations to India for the wrongs committed by them (like you know, ruining the social and economic fabric of India, killing thousands of our people and stuff like that) during the 200 years of its colonial rule. In his 15 minute argument, Tharoor made subtle jabs at the British empire for exploiting India and turning it into ‘Britain’s biggest cash cow‘. Trust me, you will enjoy this even if you don’t follow politics. Check it out.
