Now that you know how badass Kangana Ranaut is, I bet you’re dying to hear her answers to all your Twitter questions! You should know that she’s super interesting to talk to and my kind of snarky, so this was one of my favourite Bollywood interviews 🙂 #FTW
What did you like most about working with Aanand L. Rai? – Piku @PrakashGalani
Aanand Sir is a very polite person, he never loses his cool. He gets upset but never screams. And I love such kind of people.
Who is your favourite Khan? – Madeeha @Madeeha1987
That’s a tough question but Aamir Khan – on a personal level, whatever he’s doing with Satyamev Jayate – his humanitarian attempts are very, very nice.
One thing about R. Madhavan that you were surprised to know or liked? – Piku @PrakashGalani
Maddy is a gadget freak, but he has a different side to him, he likes farming. He does organic farming on his terrace.
How similar is the real life Kangana to Tanu? – Soumi @soumilovedev
I think there are some similarities. Tanu is a rebel, so am I but Tanu is a rebel without a cause. That’s why she could never do anything with her life. She had no clarity, on the other hand, I’m very focused.
How did you acquire so much finesse in your acting at such a young age? – Nippun @drnippun
I, myself don’t know. When I first saw Gangster, I was surprised at how I could act so well. I never even wanted to become an actress. Now, I feel like I’m born with it. Earlier I had no idea about the camera as well. Anurag (Basu) had once told me, “whatever you feel, even your skin shows it, not just your eyes but everything in your body reacts to that – which is amazing. The camera can capture that.
Will you ever work with Shahid Kapoor? – Amina @baigamina
Shahid and I were supposed to work in a Reema Kagti film but it didn’t work out. But I would love to.
Apart from you, which actress has the best fashion sense? – Anisha Gill @AnishaGill13
Sridevi. I like effortless fashion, with effort it becomes for people. It should be inherited like Rihanna and Beyonce. It reflects their personality.
According to you, which is your best role till date? – Shahanwaz Havale @HavaleShahanwaz
Yet to come.
Which of these roles were tougher for you – Sporty/Athletic (Datto) or of Tanu? – Rinky @Rinkygarg24
Tanu was more difficult. For Datto I had to learn the language – anyone can learn like if you can do organic chemistry for 5 years like I have then you can do anything. But Tanu was given character flaws. She was the protagonist. She is mean, she’s insensitive, irrational, and she is not fair. With that to have an interest in a person’s story, to have a liking for that person – to believe in that situation where your husband is torturing you to death. To believe everything was so difficult. It’s exhausting to play that woman. I would probably judge a woman who flirts with her husband’s friends and is a little morally vacant. It evolves you as a human being when you understand that as a person.
Do you feel the public has high expectations from you? – Harleen @ILoveDeepika2
I think it’s fair. I would love it that way as opposed to not having any expectations which they didn’t earlier. People used to ask me – “who do you think is your generation’s star – Deepika or Sonam?” – I was like “ME” and they’re like, “you’re so funny!” I used to feel so bad that they don’t have any expectations from me.
Of all the movies you’ve seen lately, which is your favourite one? – Priya @priya64
Piku and Bombay Velvet.
If you were in the same situation in real life as your character in Queen, would you have gone alone on your honeymoon? – Esha Changotra @eshachangotra
Yes! I can. I’m capable of doing that.
Which movie did you enjoy doing more – Tanu Weds Manu or Tanu Weds Manu Returns? – Neha @nehaangelzz
First. It was fun – I thought it was a small film, I never thought it would even release. I used to eat paranthas on the set. The shooting used to get disrupted every other day and the director was new and we didn’t even have a proper set. This one was a big film, big studio, double role – it was demanding.
How are you so fit?
I do Yoga.
What is the secret of your success?
My hard work. But that’s not the only thing. You’ve to work on other aspects as well like a map laid for you that this is the path I have to follow. You have to find out where you have to go. Direction, focus, levels – it’s a proper process!
Love from all the fans!
