See! I told you so. At least, that’s how we felt, but we aren’t the only ones feeling lots of fashion feels, are we? The Internet’s kind of losing its mind comparing this dress to everything from a mop to Big Bird, Anil Kapoor‘s chest hair… let that visual sink in for a moment. Some are even comparing it to Rihanna‘s dress from the MET Gala…
While the Internet reacted hilariously to RiRi’s Guo Pei design, wearing it for a “costume” gala is still somehow justified. Sonam Kapoor’s intricate green Elie Saab number was probably better off on the runway. The Chopard earrings, though, those are definite keepers. Later that evening, stylist and sister Rhea Kapoor, had Sonam switch out to one more Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla couture number.
Rhea captioned this image “butterfly couture” and we most definitely see the butterfly resemblance, we just don’t know what’s with this sudden love for the animal kingdom. While we’re in love with the last Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla summer saree and we don’t have any objection to animal inspiration, we’re not sure how we feel about this couture piece yet. But hey, I will say I’m obsessed with those Nicholas Kirkwood shoes. That’s just our two cents.
