Before I begin, let me tell you, I’m 100% on Team Glamorous Gloss. Don’t get me wrong, I love a good matte lipstick every now and then, but when Team MissMalini‘s beauty blogerettes got their hands on L’Oréal Paris’s new Cannes Collection divided into Sonam Kapoor’s favorite mattes and Katrina Kaif‘s favorite glosses, which B-T-W have an amazing color pay off, I knew which side I wanted to pick. The gloss look isn’t just about your lips, it’s an outfit commitment.
Here are 3 reasons I’m on Katrina’s team. I pulled off the glamorous gloss look all day, through 3 outfit changes. We all wonder what lips to carry off with what kind of eyes and then comes the larger question: how to work your outfit around your makeup or the other way round? When it comes to gloss lips, here’s how I do it.
1) The Casual Gloss
A maxi, sneaker wedges, and who said a bold lip can’t be casual? While I’ve left the rest my face and outfit minimal, I opted for winged eyeliner and a rosy pink gloss (Rose Melody) on my lips. The best part about rocking these lips on my down-time? One quick swipe gives all the color payoff you’ll ever need and boy, does it last!
Psst… Sneak peek of Natasha Patel (fellow beauty blogerette) rocking the matte pink.
2) The ‘I Mean Work’ Gloss
Got to rush for a meeting? I’m breaking the rules again with a bolder, glossier pink (Fuchsia Orchestra). This time round, I left my eyes completely matte. Why can’t we have a little fun at work too?
3) Finally, My Night Out!
My pencil skirt’s doing some double-duty and so are my eyes. While I left my eyes matte, I threw on a pink blouse, and an orange gloss (Orange Tempo)! It’s amazing how much time I can save with these glossy colors, lip liner, lipstick, and gloss… all in one step. Color on color! Why not?
That’s how I work the #TeamGlamorousGloss look, my colleague and fellow beauty addict, NatPat? Well, she’s going with #TeamMarvellousMatte. You’ve seen the sneak peek, now stay tuned to the blog to find out why!
