Though we aren’t facing any frosty weather yet, the Rohit Gandhi + Rahul Khanna collection (An Early Frost), at FDCI Presents Amazon India Fashion Week, has me ready to brace some wintery temperatures. With their laser cuts and embossed neoprene dresses, we love their monochrome styles. Hemant & Nandita truly created magic on that runway. Fringe, floppy hats and gypsy vibes – I’m festival-ready ya’ll! Their take on prints and embroideries have us on board the boho bandwagon! Plus, Red Riding Hood never looked this chic. I mean it. Embellished floor-length jacket-gowns, hand-embroidered capes and beautiful satin fabrics with zari work would make any princess a little jealous about not having Samant Chauhan in their fairytale world.
Pallavi Mohan knows a thing or two, or maybe five, about how to dress autumn/winter classy: modern cuts, pleated skirts and some sparkly silhouettes! (Oh, and that headgear is just too brilliant to wrap my mind around… I’d rather be wrapped in that navy skirt if you know what I mean?). Designer geniuses, Abraham and Thakore achieved the unthinkable on the runway. With some of their garments made from hospital x-rays and film, they opted for colours like charcoal, slate black, ivory, purple, and plums to create recycled evening-wear. Malini Ramani‘s collection was tribal chic! Dark hues, and even darker eye makeup made the runway look fierce and edgy. Rina Dhaka‘s autumn/winter collection had all kinds of amazing textures that left us drooling for more. Finally, Amit Aggarwal had us completely floored with his collection! Just look at that those designs! After I die from all the fashion week madness, please bury me in that skater dress. #KthanksBye
