Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge is not just a movie, it’s a way of life. People use the dialogues of the movie in daily conversations. When talks of pulling the movie out of Maratha Mandir were going on, I was sure the staff, insects and the ghosts of Maratha Mandir (who have been watching the movie every morning at 9am) would not let that happen! Obviously, love won and DDLJ is STILL running in theatres. 1000 weeks have come and gone, but the movie never gets old. So check out some facts from the movie you might want to know!
1) Saif Ali Khan was offered the role of Raj Malhotra!
We love you Saif, but no no no. Thank God this didn’t happen.

Yep, that one. Now this iconic scene has been lifted from the 1957 legal thriller, Witness For The Prosecution!
The hats in Witness For The Prosecution were replaced by sarees in DDLJ!

The veteran choreographer Saroj Khan and the debutant director, Aditya Chopra had numerous differences, which finally lead to Aditya roping in Farah Khan to do the choreography instead!
