On the third day of fashion week, everyone has somewhat already reached an autopilot mode. Not a day goes by when the designer’s green thumb on the runway doesn’t fuel my engine. As the MissMalini fashion team and I rush to cover the best shows and all backstage activity, we also have some enjoyable and fun moments while doing so – because what’s work if it cant bring out the best in you? On that note, these designers from day 3 at Lakmé Fashion Week show us how they brought some fun and a whole lot of reverence to their clothes on the runway.
The day kicked off with a stunning display of bags by Square Loop. Check it out…

Armaan Aiman had an incredible display of gold with turquoise and some pink tulle crafted designs that gave me a newfound love for pink! Also don’t miss those eccentric glasses.

Lovebirds designs got me falling for structured and relaxed silhouettes. With hues like orange and white and black, these guys gave new meaning to casual luxurious resort wear.

DRVV by Druv Kapur made us believe we were watching an old black and white film with his creations that walked the ramp. Edgy fashion never looked this good.

Alright, now brace yourselves – Thampi is coming. Man, this show just blew my mind! (*inserts mind blown GIF). Struck by yellow draped creations, metallics with leather accents on the runway and old school item Bollywood remixes, Nikhil Thampi has now given me a moment that I will never forget. The fashion genius has also shown us that metallics are in ladies! Nikhil, please take a bow.

Of goddesses and royalty. This was the exact feeling that came over me when Nitya Arora‘s Valliyan collection strutted it’s way down the runway. Crisp whites, sheer sides, and white gloves brought out the magnanimity of the gold ornaments from the collection. Modern day Cleopatra never looked THIS good!

Muted colours and relaxed silhouettes just oozed summer on Shift‘s runway. Olives, whites, prints – everything you’d want to wear this season in a sophisticated and easy way. The relaxed vibe at Nimish Shah‘s show was such!

Lots of prints, polka dots, pastels and sheer was seen at the Ikai show. Oh and lots of layering!

Asmita Marwa, killed it with those hats on the runway. The street style mixed with some graphic prints for the girls as well as the boys took on a new spin for things this summer. And who can complain when you have Adhuna Akhtar dancing on stage with you?!

What’s summer without a pop of colour? Jatin Varma‘s runway showcased everything I love about summer clothing – bright hues! I just couldn’t get over the detailing of that purple dress! Also the headgear was super cool, don’t you think?
