So it’s Sunday afternoon and while your tattered shorts and baggy tee will work as you laze around your house, come tomorrow morning, you’re going to want to formal-up your look. A little inspiration goes a long way sometimes and who better than these Bollywood girls to show you how it’s done – Boss Lady style, of course! I’ve picked out 10 women who are just the boss and their outfits prove it. Take a look…
1. Aishwarya Rai
Do it like Aishwarya Rai Bachchan – All black outfit, a hint of leather and a bold red lip, you don’t need to be the boss to dress like one!
2. Rani Mukerji
Nothing says boss like the colour black, but the one thing that gives it an edge is gold. Next time you wear all black, make sure you add some gold accents and a messy knot, just like Rani Mukerji.
3. Jacqueline Fernandez
You have to admit, a white shirt is as office formal as it gets. Walk in with a crisp white one, a vest thrown on and a cuppa’ joe in your hand – #WhoRunTheWorld?
4. Ileana D’Cruz
Marsala is the colour of the year and if you’re the boss, you need to flaunt it. Do it like Ileana D’Cruz and throw on a Marsala coloured top over your high waisted pencil skirt. P.S. You can be subtle and try the colour like Jacqueline did in point 3 (see her shoes).
5. Alia Bhatt
While this look reminds me of school, it’s still formal enough for work – but with a twist. Black and blue never looked this good and if you have to wear a crop top to work, let it be something like Alia Bhatt‘s.
6. Kajol
Dressing to work doesn’t always mean blazers and black. A dress adds some femininity to formal wear and Kajol has the perfect stripped one. P.S. When wearing a dress like this, make sure your footwear is basic and not as eye catchy as the jewelled ones Kajol has on.
7. Kangana Ranaut
Give your white shirt and upgrade with an embroidered one like Kangana Ranaut. And since you’re upgrading, ditch that black pencil skirt for a metallic one instead.
8. Priyanka Chopra
All white makes as much of an impact as all black does and Priyanka Chopra knows it all too well! A slick ponytail and gold studs make her look office perfection.
9. Aditi Rao Hydari
With summer on its way, it’s time to say bye to dark colours – yes in the office too! Aditi Rao Hydari‘s blue jacket and trouser set is a great option when you want to add some cheer to the workplace.
10. Sonakshi Sinha
If you still want to stick to the plain shirt/skirt combo, make sure you add some spunk to it. Vertical stripes on a pencil skirt not only makes you look slimmer, it turns up the edge too!
Chin up ladies, once you throw on these outfits, your colleagues aren’t going to know what hit them!
