The ever-evolving Sonam Kapoor not only rocked a path breaking dress at last night’s Filmfare Glamour & Style Awards 2015, but her makeup also had a supermodel moment! I cannot stop staring at that graphic, geometric eye and kudos to her for being one of the few stars to sport a runway look. While the rest of her face is rocking minimal makeup, her lids are covered in a shimmery, dark blue. I suspect it’s a liquid eyeshadow winged out at the ends using a graphic liner brush (I know these brushes are available at MAC). Here’s a closer look from her makeup artist, Namrata Soni‘s, Instagram.
While this look stole the show and could not have been more apt for a style award function, some of the other A-list ladies also brought their best face forward.
Kareena Kapoor Khan
Kareena Kapoor Khan‘s makeup is so simple and elegant. Her skin and her dress are doing all the talking here. Because she’s wearing a beautiful Roberto Cavalli number, the minimal makeup compliments her outfit and lets it stand out.
Madhuri Dixit Nene
Gold shadow, a winged flick of eyeliner, and a coral lip: that’s all this queen needs. She should be winning every award… ever! Okay, clearly a big Madhuri Dixit Nene fan here. But just look at her!
Nargis Fakhri
I love the natural, nude, two-toned lips on Nargis’s voluptuous pout. And that fringe and ponytail make her look adorable. I love how simple ponytails are making a red carpet comeback. Remember Dakota Fanning and Jennifer Lopez at the Oscars?
Aditi Rao Hydari
Speaking of hair, Aditi Rao Hydari‘s hair is having a major princess moment on the red carpet. Every now and then, it’s nice to get an all out braided hairdo like this one. Plus, her makeup isn’t something that always suits Indian skin tones with the neon pink lips and the silver shadow. But hey, she looks great! You go girl! 🙂
Shruti Hassan
And whoa… isn’t Shruti Hassan giving you that Freida Kahlo-esque vibe, minus the unibrow, of course? Maybe the hair was inspired by the dress or the other way round, but we think it’s pretty cool of her to rock this hairdo!
Do you agree or disagree? Did I miss anyone on this list?
